Councillor Hazel Noonan has been a Ward Councillor for Cheylesmore for the past 10 years and is currently Shadow Cabinet Member (Community Services). For her first three years, as Cabinet Member for Community Services, Hazel had a wide range of responsibilities, including services for older people, adults and people with disabilities. She also had the responsibility for housing issues within the City. During that time she has worked closely with Council Officers to continue the rapid improvement in adult and older peoples services in Coventry. Hazel was the Cabinet Member for City Services from 2008-2010 which is responsible for building cleaning, catering, highways and lighting, liveability, public protection and waste management. This high profile directorate also included Street Services, which encompasses grounds maintenance, refuse and street cleansing.

Hazel who has two grown-up children and a grandson has lived in Coventry all her life and is passionate about the City and providing the best possible service for all residents. She had worked in a care home for five years so has a particular understanding of the demands of providing a good service for older people.
